Cleaning Ground Crew
For events at our venue to be successful they must be clean, tidy and well maintained. Our Cleaning team work hard to maintain the venue, not just for all our guests but also behind the scenes in operational and office areas. Our Cleaning team’s work is important to ensure hygiene and safety for both customers and colleagues.
We have three opportunities for individuals to join the Facilities Management team as Cleaning Ground Crew.
Reporting to the FM Cleaning Manager, the main purpose of these roles is to provide the Olympia London venue with cleaning, waste management and associated activities to ensure that all events take place suitably cleaned and prepared.
Areas of responsibility include:
• Undertaking all activities including Cloakrooms, Washrooms, Furniture, Lifts, Waste Management, Personnel, equipment and any other duties
• Assisting Cleaning Supervisors with the Rota
• Providing the Venue Management team with support, both proactive and reactive, to ensure that the venue is fully operational and presentable
• Ensuring that cleaning duties take place efficiently and effectively
• Assisting with equipment and stock attributed to the cleaning activities
• Assisting the FM team with energy management, water conservation and housekeeping issues
We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated team-players. The roles will suit those who enjoy carrying out a variety of tasks and dealing with customers face-to-face. A high degree of reliability and the ability to communicate well is essential, as is previous experience as a cleaner. Whilst not essential, it would be desirable for candidates to have a driving licence and/or a fork lift truck licence.
Successful candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, within an established shift pattern; two of the opportunities are based on day shifts, with one based on night shifts.
