The Laing O’Rourke and Future Olympia teams are committed to the safe delivery of Olympia Masterplan. Towards the end of the year Olympia Way will become a live logistics and construction yard with HGVs manoeuvring and reversing on the road. In order to ensure the safe operation of the site, we have taken the decision to restrict public vehicle access to Olympia Way from December 2020. Construction and exhibition traffic will continue to have access to the road. This will take construction congestion away from Blythe Road, helping local traffic to flow more freely and confine disruption. A pedestrian route will be maintained for continued access to the exhibition halls and the station, and cyclists will be invited to dismount to use the route.
