As part of the ongoing Olympia redevelopment works, a tower crane is to be dismantled on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October. The work will be done outside of core working hours as the site needs to shut down due to this being a high-risk activity.

 The scheduled working hours and activities are as follows: 

• Saturday 23, 03:00 – the mobile crane arrives on site.
• Saturday 23 and Sunday 24, 08:00 – 18:00 – the tower crane will be dismantled using hand tools only.
• Sunday 24, 18:00 – 20:00 – the tower crane will be derigged and removed from site.

 The works are not expected to be noisy, however they may cause some disturbance due to site activity and use of tower lights during dark hours. Tower lights will be positioned with care to minimise disturbance to local residents.
