The Ideal Home Show celebrated its 107th year at Olympia London, a new and a familar home for the longest running and most successsful consumer show in the world. Last held at Olympia London in 1978, the show looked brighter and more beautiful than ever in its birthplace. With a mixture of celebrities, talks, show homes and over 600 exhibitors, the show occupied the entire venue making each space at Olympia London its own.

Seven sections spanned our seven flexible and connected spaces, allowing clear differentiation of content and visitor flow through. In addition, several smaller spaces were also used to create special experiences for show-goers. Fresh flowers and fine china transformed Olympia London’s ornate Pillar Hall into the Grand Hall Tea Rooms complete with scones and silver service. The London Room and Club Room were redesigned to imitate a typical British Pub and an elegant champagne bar respectively. 

Visitors flooded social media with praise for the show’s new home, singling out the venue’s natural daylight and uplifting ambiance. Operationally the smooth delivery of show build up and break down logistics and the expertise of venue teams ensured the show was a success with visitor numbers level-pegging previous years, at 230,000. Lee Newton, Media 10 CEO commented:

“It was a privilege to return to our roots and hold the exhibition once again at Olympia London. The new venue proved overwhelmingly popular with our visitors and exhibitors this year and the show looked at home in its new location.”
